New Heights Merchants Association board announced

Josie Romeo is the new president of the Heights Merchants Association following the group's recent elections.

Romeo is branch manger of Vancity's Burnaby Heights branch and succeeds Rishel Tomlinson, whose two-year term ended last month. The vice-president role will be shared by Paul Lowey of Gloo Studios and Barb Stefanko of Westminster Savings Credit Union.

Nelson Chow of GNK Insurance and lawyer Ann Pollak are returning to their previous roles of treasurer and secretary, respectively.

Other members of the board of directors are Lisa Beecroft of Caffe Divano, Rino Cioffi of Cioffi’s Meat and Deli, Heidi Dueck of United Optical, Jack Kuyer of Valley Bakery, John Latrofa of Caffe Lafontana, KJ Eom of Regent Fish, and Carey Siddoo of Tara S. Siddoo & Sons Ltd.

Each member of the association's executive commits for two years in their role.
