Burnaby launches festivals grant program

The City of Burnaby is introducing a new Festivals Burnaby Grant Program to provide funding to eligible organizations in Burnaby in support of local festivals and events. The program’s purpose is to add excitement and celebration in the community, stimulate partnerships and co-operation, as well as develop tourism and local community pride. This three-year pilot project has an annual total allocation of $250,000.

Interested local community groups are invited to attend an information session to find out more about the grant eligibility criteria, the application process, funding guidelines and deadlines.

The session takes place Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Studio Theatre at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, 6450 Deer Lake Ave.
