Burnaby's Buckingham school marks 50 years
Burnaby's Buckingham elementary school is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, an event marked at its annual open house May 4 with a showcase of students' projects marking the decades.
In the past year, students learned about famous people, art, music, literature, fashion, movies and TV shows from the past 50 years.
The work will also be on display on Saturday, Sept. 29, when the school hosts its 50th anniversary celebration. Registration for the event is already taking place. Info: http://buckingham.sd41.bc.ca/anniversary.htm.
