David Starr, principal at Edmonds Community School reads from his book, From Bombs to Books: The Remarkable Stories of Refugee Children and Their Families at an Exceptional Canadian School.
The reading takes place Tuesday, June 5, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Tommy Douglas library branch, at Walker Avenue and Kingsway, in Burnaby.
Starr will share the deeply touching stories of his students and parents who have overcome many harrowing experiences and circumstances before finding safety in Canada.
