Burnaby Mountain to host fall festival
UniverCity is celebrating the Burnaby Mountain community on Saturday, Sept. 29 with the It's Your Mountain Fall Festival from 12 to 3 p.m.
The event features a free Nesters Market barbecue, live music, family activities and a farmers' market.
Celebrity guests will include Jillian Harris, design expert and host of Love It or List It, who will share her condo and townhouse decorating tips at 1 p.m. Jordan Klassen and band, one of the finalists in the 2012 PEAK Performance Project, will perform and Canadian Olympian Jasmine Glaesser will meet fans and show off the bronze medal she won for women's team pursuit cycling at the London Games.
UniverCity is a community of more than 3,500 residents located beside Simon Fraser University's Burnaby Mountain campus.
