Giving nature a hand at Burnaby Lake Park
Every winter volunteers from the Burnaby Lake Park Association clean and repair more than 200 nesting boxes that are home to flying squirrels, swallows and wood ducks. They also help give naturalists an idea of how the populations are doing by logging their findings when they open the boxes.
There is one more opportunity to help out, Feb. 2. For more information go to www.burnabylakepark.ca
