Burnaby Village gears up for transportation celebration
Russell and Linda Collins, along with Carol Rush and Jean Beaton, are all dressed up for a day in the big city as they travel aboard the old BC Electric Interurban 1223, which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary as part of Burnaby In Motion at Burnaby Village Museum this weekend. In addition to tours of the tram and the work it took to restore it to its former glory, visitors will also be able to learn about the early transportation network in BC from guest speakers, and participate in special transportation-related activites around the village. The fun begins at 11 a.m. each day and admission to the museum is free.
