Burnaby-Deer Lake NDP MLA Kathy Corrigan has been named the Opposition critic for Public Safety and Solicitor General.

She was among several NDP MLAs to receive new posts after interim leader Dawn Black re-assigned critic portfolios during the party’s leadership race.

“Today’s changes are a necessary step to ensure fairness and balance to our role and responsibilities as B.C.’s Official opposition, as the leadership race gets underway,” said Black, MLA for New Westminster.
