Teen boy sexually assaulted at North Burnaby pool

Burnaby RCMP are seeking a suspect after a teenaged boy was sexually assaulted at Eileen Dailly Pool Sunday.

On June 12, a 13-year-old boy was at the North Burnaby pool when he was approached by a man between the ages of 45 and 55. The man has spoken with the boy before and on this day he struck up several conversations with him. During one of the conversations the man touched the boy in an inappropriate sexual manner while in the pool.

The suspect is described as dark skinned with a large nose, grey hair and a bald spot on the top of his head. He has a very hairy chest, a medium build and a bit of a belly, and a thin grey moustache. He speaks with an accent and at the time of the incident he was wearing red swim trunks.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922 or to remain anonymous, CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
