Witnesses sought to assault at HighGate mall in South Burnaby

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault outside a South Burnaby restaurant last month that sent a man to hospital in critical condition.

On Sunday, May 22, at around 11 p.m. a man was assaulted outside the House Of Wings Restaurant, located at HighGate mall at the corner of Kingsway and Hall Avenue. The man was taken to hospital, and is currently in critical condition due to injuries sustained in the attack.

The Burnaby RCMP serious crime unit is actively investigating the incident and police believe there were several witnesses who were either at the restaurant or inĀ  the area at the time of the assault.

These witnesses are encouraged to come forward by calling Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922 or to remain anonymous, CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
