IHIT identifies Metrotown homicide victim

Police have identified the woman killed in a domestic dispute in the Metrotown area Sept. 1 as Bayush Hagos, 57, of Burnaby.

She died in her home, in the 4100-block of Maywood Street near Central Park, just before 6:30 a.m., according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

When Burnaby RCMP and ambulance crews arrived, they found one woman dead and the female suspect injured. The suspect was still in hospital Tuesday being medically assessed.

An autopsy was to be conducted Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
