SkyTrain service disruptions this weekend

Service will be reduced on SkyTrain this weekend, Oct. 22 and 23, as running rails are replaced on the Expo line between 22nd Street and Edmonds stations as part of  ongoing maintenance and upgrading.

During this time SkyTrain will operate single-track service, alternating directions between Columbia and Edmonds Stations all day and evening.

Frequency for Expo Line trains will be reduced, so allow an extra 15 minutes for trips. Millennium Line trains will turn around at Columbia Station, so customers going into downtown Vancouver will need to transfer to and from the line at Columbia or Commercial-Broadway.

For trains arriving at New Westminster, 22nd Street and Edmonds Stations, check the platform signs to make sure you’re getting on the right train.

There will be additional trains in service due to the Canucks and Whitecaps games on Saturday, but there will be longer waits between them due to the rail replacement.
