Cookie concerns sparks warning

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with milk allergies not to consume certain Real Deal Energy Cookies produced by the Burnaby-based Red Square brand. The affected product, Red Square brand Real Deal Energy Cookie — Oatmeal, Flax & Raisin, is sold in a 650 g (8 bar) package bearing UPC 7 75461 76104 2 and one of the following lot codes: 35520.11 or 36120.11. It contains milk which is not declared on the label. The product has been distributed in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. There has been one reported case of allergic reaction associated with consumption of the product. Info: 1-800-442-2342.
