Stabbing, shots fired in North Burnaby
A man is in hospital after being stabbed in North Burnaby Monday night.
Just before 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20, Burnaby RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the 4800-block of Brentwood Drive. A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not yet identified a motive or any suspects, say Burnaby RCMP. The incident is not believed to be gang-related and the victim is not known to be affiliated with any criminal organization.
"The police do not believe there is any danger to the public," said a Burnaby RCMP press release.
Burnaby Mounties are also investigating a report of shots fired early Wednesday morning.
At about 1:40 a.m. Aug. 22, Burnaby RCMP received multiple reports of gunshots in the 7400-block of Woodbrook Place.
No one was injured and the incident appears to have been targeted but not gang-related.
