Burnaby Mounties seek owners of stolen tools
Burnaby RCMP are searching for the rightful owners of numerous tools seized during the arrest of a man Wednesday.
The detachment's Prolific Offender Suppression Team was monitoring a priority offender who was driving a stolen vehicle on Sept. 19, say Burnaby RCMP.
When officers saw the man selling tools to another person, they moved in and arrested the suspect for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
Several items recovered from the vehicle are also believed to be stolen. Investigators are trying to find the owners of tools including drills, saws, a nailgun, a grinder, a router, a cutter, an air compressor, a paint sprayer, cords, a GPS, and sunglasses, among other items.
Anyone who believes the items are theirs or who knows who they belong to are asked to contact Cpl. Melissa Brown at 604-294-7922. Proof of ownership will be required.
