Man, 78, hit by bus near Lougheed mall

A 78-year-old Burnaby man is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus near Lougheed Mall Friday morning, say Burnaby RCMP.

The man was crossing Austin Avenue southbound near Gatineau Place at about 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 when he was hit by a TransLink bus.

He was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital suffering from serious injuries to his head and chest. Burnaby RCMP are investigating the accident.
