Suspect charged in sexual assaults

A suspect has been charged with two counts of sexual assault after two women were attacked within three blocks of each other early Saturday, Dec. 29.

The attacks occurred 20 minutes apart and neither woman knew each other or their attacker. Burnaby RCMP worked with police from Surrey and the BC Transit Authority to identify the suspect, who is known to police. In addition to the sexual assault charges, he also faces two counts of breach of probation.
