Burnaby RCMP talk man off hood of mom's car

Burnaby RCMP recently got called to deal with a case of a badly misbehaving child.

Only in this case, the child was the adult son of a woman.

On March 12 about 9 p.m., Burnaby Mounties were called to the underground parkade of an apartment complex in the 9500-block of Manchester Dr.

The problem?

A man had borrowed his mother's vehicle and simply did not want to return it.

"When she went to leave with it he purposely jumped on the hood of the car and would not get off until the police came," said Burnaby RCMP Corp. Rick Skolrood by email. "No accident, no intent to harm, no intent to run anyone over, no injuries."

No word on whether there were any time outs issued.
