The Burnaby school district is holding a public meeting Wednesday night to outline how it plans to address a shortfall and balance its operating budget next year.

The meeting will be April 9, 7 p.m. at the district's office at 5325 Kincaid St.

In December, the district was anticipating a $6-million shortfall if the status quo is maintained.

The district is seeking feedback from the public on its proposals for the 2014-2015 budget. Send input by email to budget@sd41.bc.ca or to the Board's Finance Committee, 5325 Kincaid St., Burnaby, BC, V5G 1W2. Deadline is April 14.
