Vancouver records fourth murder of 2014

VANCOUVER - Vancouver has recorded its second murder in less than a week and its fourth this year.

Police say a man was fatally stabbed Tuesday night.

The attack occurred just before 8 p.m. in the Downtown Eastside, near Oppenheimer Park.

Officials have not yet named the victim.

No suspects have been identified and a motive for the stabbing remains unclear.

Charges in Vancouver's third homicide of the year were laid Tuesday after a 63-year-old woman was fatally stabbed a day earlier and her 19-month old granddaughter was injured in the same attack.
