North Burnaby Neighbourhood House grand opening Saturday

The new North Burnaby Neighbourhood House will have its grand opening during Hats Off Day on Saturday, June 7, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Located at 4463 Hastings St., at Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby Neighbourhood House's second such facility will celebrate with a barbecue ($1 for drink, hotdog and chips) starting at 11:30 a.m., a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12 p.m., face-painting, and other kids' activities.

Food First will be on hand to highlight their community initiatives, such as its apron project, sharing backyards and other workshops.

The neighbourhood house is open Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and provides programs focused on families, children, youth and seniors. Info: burnabynh.ca.
