A Burnaby man has been arrested after a stabbing incident in the Edmonds area Tuesday night, say Burnaby RCMP.

The victim and suspect know each other, police say. A man was visiting a home in the 7100-block of 17th Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. when a dispute took place and he was stabbed.

The victim, also a Burnaby resident, left the home and called 911 from a pharmacy in the 4800-block of Kingsway.

Burnaby RCMP arrested the suspect back at his home on 17th Avenue. He was being held in custody while awaiting a court appearance Wednesday.

The victim was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
