Woman faces drug charge

A 19-year-old Burnaby woman is facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking after she and a 23-year-old male companion from Vancouver were nabbed by transit police with a large open bag of marijuana on Saturday. They were at the Gateway SkyTrain station in Surrey.

Further investigation also revealed large quantities of hash balls and crystal meth packaged for sale, digital scales, a vaporizer, pepper spray and knives.

The man is previously known to police.
