Need to keep balance as Burnaby neighbourhoods gentrified

Re: Maywood families fear displacement (NewsLeader, April 4)

Thank you for your timely article.

I have been really sad to see my neighbourhood become gentrified. And my son may lose friends from his school who will be forced to move because of these new, unaffordable highrises that will consume all resources in this neighbourhood. They need to keep the balance, or this municipality will lose its character to only affluent, non child-friendly housing.
