Burnaby teens named to Canadian puck team
Two Burnaby players are participating in the development camp for the team that will represent British Columbia at the Canadian women's under-18 hockey championship in Saguenay, Que., Nov. 2-6.
Goalie Kimberley Newell and blueliner Ivana Bilic and 18 others from around the province are working out this weekend in Osoyoos to prepare for the tournment.
Newell, 17, played last season for the Burnaby Winter Club boys midget A team while Bilic, 17, plays for Warner Hockey School based in Warner, Alta.
The team will also participate in a series of exhibition games in September.
