BLRC bitten by Sharks

White Rock’s Bayside Sharks bit back on the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club in BC Rugby senior women’s Anna Schnell Cup final last weekend.

Bayside beat Burnaby 22-10 last Saturday to avenge a 6-0 loss to BLRC in last year’s final. Burnaby Lake had held a 10-5 halftime lead, and trailed just 12-10 with 15 minutes to go when Bayside broke out with two tries.

In the senior women’s bowl final for third place, United downed Simon Fraser 42-32.
