Brief History:
Simon Fraser University is a public research university with undergraduate and graduate programs. Established in 1965 with its main campus on Burnaby Mountain, SFU has since opened satellite campuses in downtown Vancouver and Surrey. Over 29,000 undergraduate students and 5,500 post-graduate currently attend the school in faculties such as Applied Sciences, Arts & Social Sciences, Business Administration, Education, and Health Sciences.
SFU's motto is Nous sommes prets, or "We are ready," and the school colors are red, blue, and grey. The school's mascot is McFog the Dog, a Scottish Terrier.
